The Department of Student Affairs supports the goals outlined in the mission and strategy of Ilia State University by promoting student engagement and fostering students’ personal and professional development. The Department is committed to creating a diverse and vibrant student life, encouraging active participation in educational, cultural, sports, and social activities, while providing a range of support services and opportunities.
To achieve this, the Department of Student Affairs carries out the following functions and activities:
- Supporting students’ adaptation and engagement in the university life;
- Supporting student clubs and initiatives;
- Facilitating student career development, including providing information on employment forums and vacancies;
- Organizing seasonal schools and educational tours;
- Planning and delivering sports and cultural events;
- Organizing public lectures and seminars;
- Ensuring timely resolution of issues related to the educational process.
The activities of the Department are guided by the principle of safeguarding student interests and enhancing their overall experience at the University.
