The Quality Assurance Office is an administrative unit of the University and its functions include:
a) carrying out activities aimed at enhancing the quality of the University’s educational and research processes;
b) organizing and/or coordinating processes related to external mechanisms for improving the quality of higher education (authorization and accreditation);
c) promoting the University’s integration into the international higher education network
The Office reports to the Academic Council and the Council of Representatives, and performs the following functions:
a) in cooperation with relevant university departments, faculties/schools, and, where applicable, independent scientific and research units, developing and implementing a system for assessing the quality of educational and research activities, including through the exchange of international best practices;
b) in cooperation with relevant University departments, faculties/schools, and independent scientific and research units (if applicable), developing and implementing a system for evaluating university offices that support educational and research activities;
c) participating in the development of university standards and requirements for educational and research processes;
d) supporting the professional development of the staff engaged in the University’s educational and research activities;
e) reporting to the Academic Council on the outcomes of periodic internal self-assessments of educational programs;
f) reporting to the Council of Representatives on the activities of the Office;
g) participating in authorization and accreditation processes within the scope of the Office’s authority;
h) cooperating with relevant international organizations and higher education institutions to establish transparent quality assurance criteria and methodologies.
