Nino Doborjginidze,
Doctor of Linguistics (1998)
1976-1981 – studied at the Faculty of Philology of Tbilisi State University, in the field of Classical Philology.
1982-2006 – worked at the ,,Orion’’ Manuscripts Research Laboratory at the Department of Ancient Georgian Language of the same university.
1996-2000 – Invited Researcher at the Georg-August-University and Academy of Sciences (Institute for Patristic Studies) in Göttingen, Germany, as a fellow of various German foundations (EKD, KAAD, DAAD).
In 2000-2001, 2006, 2011 and 2015 – Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and worked at the Universities of Göttingen and Oldenburg.
Since 2006, she has been working at Ilia State University; until 2010, she was an Associate Professor of the Faculty of Sciences and Arts in the field of language and literature, and since 2010 – Full Professor. In 2017-2021, she was the Deputy Rector of Ilia State University for Research. Since 2022, she is a Rector of the same university.

History of Linguistic Ideas; Medieval Studies, Digital Humanities; Corpus Linguistics; Old Georgian philology.
